Building a Real Estate Broker Platformfor 24/7 Deal Flow
Real Estate - Vietnam - Broker Community Platform - Web & Mobile Development
Independent real estate brokers relied on fragmented tools and intermediaries to find opportunities, manage clients, and complete transactions. Newwave Solutions developed a cross-platform web and mobile platform that unified broker workflows, learning, community engagement, and daily operations into one experience. After launch, the full-featured platform strengthened broker participation, supported engagement beyond transactions, and contributed to a 50% increase in turnover.
Client Context
The client is a Vietnamese proptech company building a digital platform for the real estate broker community.
In the traditional brokerage model, project discovery, client management, learning, and transactions often happened across spreadsheets, chat apps, and disconnected personal networks. As more brokers moved toward independent work and online transactions became more common, this fragmented workflow became harder to sustain. The client needed a centralized platform where brokers could learn, connect, manage work, and move deals forward with greater control.

Business Stakes
If the platform could not bring broker workflows into one platform, the client would face several business risks
When brokers had to switch between separate tools for listings, messaging, learning, and transactions, the platform became harder to use as a daily workspace. If the app did not make daily work easier, brokers would have fewer reasons to return, reducing usage frequency and long-term retention.
Without direct access to projects and transactions, brokers would remain dependent on agencies and manual handoffs. This made it harder for the client to shift brokers toward a more proactive working model.
A transaction-only app would give brokers a few reasons to return between deals. Lower usage frequency could weaken community growth, raise reactivation costs, and make retention harder.
Limited control over the core platform would make future changes harder to plan and execute. Over time, this could slow product evolution, raise operating costs, and keep the business dependent on third parties.
Our Approach
Newwave Solutions approached Propcom as a multi-module broker platform, not a single-feature product. Built for web, Android, and iOS, the solution brought project discovery, client management, communication, and transaction support into one broker platform. It also integrated PropSkill learning, community interaction, and gamified experiences to encourage usage beyond individual deals. To make this broader solution work in practice, the platform was guided by three design principles: unify core broker workflows, maintain reliable 24/7 transaction activities, and support new services without adding unnecessary complexity to the user experience.
Technical Decisions
To support Propcom as a connected broker platform, Newwave Solutions selected technologies that enable listings, transactions, communication, learning content, and location-based discovery to work seamlessly within one system. Each decision focused on scalability, real-time responsiveness, and operational flexibility.
Microservices architecture
Each module is built, scaled and updated independently, so growth in one area can’t destabilize the rest.
Message queues
Decoupled services with real-time sync, supporting 24/7 transactions without tight coupling.
AWS ECS + container orchestration
Cloud foundation that absorbs load spikes and stays stable as the platform scales, under the client’s control.
Flutter (Dart)
Android and iOS from one shared codebase, without doubling mobile effort.
Angular + VueJS
Powered feature-dense, interactive web interfaces and the broker dashboard.
WordPress
Content-managed pages so non-technical teams publish without engineering.
NodeJS
API services and real-time processing for transactions, messaging and activity.
MongoDB
Flexible data model across listings, courses, social posts and transactions.
RocketChat + Wowza
In-app messaging, live communication, and streaming, without leaving the platform.
Google Maps
Location for listings and discovery, core to how brokers present real estate.
Risk Handling
- One key risk came from balancing engagement features with business-critical transaction flows. Propcom needed Play to Earn and community features to keep brokers active, while still supporting 24/7 transaction management. If these experiences were built too tightly together, high engagement activity could affect the stability of transaction workflows. Newwave Solutions addressed this by separating core capabilities at the architecture level. Transaction, engagement, and community modules were structured as connected services, supported by message queues and AWS ECS. This helped the platform handle different activity patterns while keeping transaction workflows more stable and easier to scale.
Product Outcomes
Business Impact
By consolidating broker workflows into one owned platform, Propcom helped the client create a stronger foundation for both user engagement and business growth.
- The client launched a full real estate broker platform that connected learning, community engagement, project discovery, client management, and 24/7 transaction workflows in one environment.
- After implementation, the company reported a 50% increase in turnover, showing how a more connected broker platform could support both user engagement and business growth.
- The platform gave brokers more reasons to return beyond individual transactions, helping support ongoing engagement among professional and semiprofessional users.
