Battle game Platformfor Cosplay Community

We developed a dynamic, web-based battle platform specifically designed to unite and energize the cosplay community. This platform transforms passive admiration into active participation by enabling cosplayers to compete in themed battles and allowing fans to vote, engage, and share in the rewards.

Project Overview

This project was built for a cosplay community in Japan aiming to create a digital space for hosting interactive battles between cosplayers.

The challenge was to build a platform that was not only visually engaging but also technically robust enough to handle real-time voting, a complex points-based economy, and scalable community growth. We engineered a full-stack solution using ReactJS, NestJS, and PostgreSQL to deliver a stable, secure, and highly scalable platform with seamless battle and reward mechanics.

Our Direction

To meet our client's vision, we proposed a two-panel system: one for users and one for admins, ensuring streamlined operations.

This separation ensured streamlined operations and full oversight. The platform's core architecture was specifically optimized to support real-time user interactions, sophisticated gamification elements, and provide the flexibility needed for future feature expansions and customization.

Technologies We Used

The platform was built on a modern, robust technology stack chosen for performance, scalability, and developer efficiency. We utilized ReactJS to construct a highly responsive and dynamic user interface, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all users. On the backend, NestJS provided a structured, modular framework for building a scalable and maintainable server-side application, complete with secure APIs and efficient business logic. For data persistence, we selected PostgreSQL for its reliability and powerful capabilities in handling complex, transactional data related to user profiles, battles, votes, and financial points with full ACID compliance.

Game Feature Highlights

Cosplayer Registration

The platform allows cosplayers to create and customize their personal profiles, serving as their digital identity. They can upload high-quality photos, link to their social media, display their current platform ranking, and maintain a comprehensive history of all battles they have participated in, building their reputation and fanbase over time.

Battle and Voting System

Battles are organized into timed rounds where cosplayers compete based on specific themes. The system allows fans to cast votes for their favorite entries, with incentives such as rewards if their chosen cosplayer wins. This mechanism is engineered to drive consistent user interaction, repeat engagement, and foster a competitive yet community-oriented environment.

Point Deposit and Reward System

A core monetization and engagement driver, this system enables users to deposit points (which can be purchased or earned) to participate in battles and a gacha-style reward system. Points are distributed as rewards based on battle outcomes, creating a compelling and self-sustaining in-platform economy that encourages continued participation.

Admin Control Panel

We delivered a powerful, intuitive administrative interface that grants platform managers full control. Admins can configure battle rules, manage user accounts and permissions, review detailed battle history, and oversee all point transactions, ensuring the platform operates smoothly and securely from a central dashboard.

The project was delivered right on schedule, meeting every commitment in scope and quality. All planned features were implemented and validated to perform seamlessly, with the system demonstrating exceptional stability throughout rigorous testing.
